Starting an Engagement

To start a new engagement including Knowledge Coach:

  1. Open the Engagement List page

  2. Click Start New Engagement.
  3. Click into the Client name text box and begin typing the client name or ID. As you type, the system displays clients that are potential matches. When you see the one you need, click it.

    Note: Clients must be set up in Client Manager before they can be selected for an engagement. You cannot create new clients in Engagement Knowledge Coach. See the CCH Axcess Administration Manager help for more information.

  4. Enter an engagement name.
  5. Enter or select a year end date for the engagement.
  6. Select a period start date and end date.
  7. Select the engagement type.
  8. Select Knowledge Coach to include Knowledge Coach forms in your engagement.  

    Notes:

    • Knowledge Coach forms will be added to the Unfiled Knowledge Coach Forms folder and can be moved to a custom folder at any time.

    • By default, Knowledge Coach adds the necessary foundation forms to your engagement.

  9. Select the applicable industry for your engagement.

  10. Click “Create” to complete the set up and the engagement will display at the top of the list in the Engagement List page.
